OBJECTIVES

  • A professional, results oriented group that seeks to optimise the use of the region’s resources and to progress the aims and objectives of its member councils

  • To provide strong representation for Local Government in the region

 

STRATEGIES

  • Maintain a suite of publications that show the regional goals and objectives of member councils as well as the assets and opportunities of the region
  • Provide forums that allow for active community and industry debate about significant regional issues
  • Develop strong relationships with key agencies, Ministers and their offices
  • Keep informed about emerging issues and assess how they impact on the region
  • Regularly review the effectiveness and value of South West Group activities and structure
