The South West Corridor of the Perth Metropolitan Area has been growing at a greater rate than projected and it is expected that this strong growth will continue right across the region for the foreseeable future.

The South West Group and the South West Corridor Development Foundation hosted a Tourism Forum at Rockingham in September 2007.

Industry Direct

Industry Direct is designed to help local businesses to share in the opportunities offered by the development of the multi-million dollar offshore and marine construction facility, the Australian Marine Complex, at Cockburn Sound, Western Australia and to secure work from the defence sector.

Regional Tourism

In January 2007 the South West Corridor Development Foundation (SWCDeF) requested an investigation of the current status and the use of the Fun Coast brand. The Fun Coast concept had been initially developed and supported by SWCDeF.
